Soon to be a family

Any day!! So exciting!

An interesting colour combo for me! It was fun looking in my stash for papers for the Scrapfriends August Colour challenge. It was quite hard finding navy papers! When I saw the colours, I thought they would work well with the colours in this photo of Jeff and Aimee (taken by Kaleena Lincoln photography).

The sketch I have used is from Sketches In Thyme #119.

I am also putting this in the challenge at Frosted Designs - use chipboard. This chipboard alphabet has been in my stash for a long time and the chipboard circle (cant remember brand), I painted for another project and never ended up using it. Both these fitted the colour combo well!

Cheers,
Sue :)

Beach babe

I am super excited to be chosen to be a part of the next Sketchabilities DT!! Karan Gerber (designer and owner of the site ) is taking a slightly new look to her sketches for the next season and I LOVE them!! Cant wait to start in September!

Meanwhile Sketch#97 is up and here is my take. There is only one photo in the sketch, but I had 3 and wanted to use them all!

I am also putting this LO into the challenge at Berry71Bleu, to use textiles. I have used hessian (burlap), some ribbon flowers and cottons

And a couple of close-ups:

37 weeks

Another challenging, fun, sketch from Scrapfriends!

Here is my take using Kaisercraft True Romance papers and Spellbinders Lacy Hearts die from Scottie Crafts.

Romance and hearts... Aww... has to be a layout about love!!  Jeff and Aimee had some beautiful photos taken before young Master Smith arrives!

 A couple of close-ups:

Tags and Card using Spellbinders Lacy Hearts

In my Scottie Crafts kit I received this very cool Spellbinders die to play with.
If you haven’t got a doily heart die yet, or ‘one is never enough’, then you will love the new Spellbinders lacy hearts set.   The die pieces can be mixed and matched to make a variety of different doilies. So cool!!

Before I started on some layouts, I had to have a quick play and have made 2 tags using the small scallop outer and the lattice inner.

This one has a see-through heart which will let your layout, card or giftwrap papers show through. ( See Scotties blog for a tutorial for this)

And an easel card using a mix of heart combos, the corner flourish and the gorgeous Kaisercraft, Enchanted Garden papers.

Southern Girls Challenge have an 'F' letter challenge this fortnight, so I am putting in this card that has
a fairy, flower and flourish!

 Cheers,
Sue :)
