LO for Sketches in Thyme and Tic-Tac-Toe

This gorgeous, wee treasure, is our newest grandie. She is now 3and a half months old, sleeps all night and is so peaceful and easy!! But, she is rolling around and pushing herself backwards, far too soon, so maybe that is a sign that she is saving a strong will for later!!

I have used the January 15th sketch at Sketches in Thyme and the Tic-Tac-Toe board from the Scrappy Friends Challenge. I used the bottom row: Border punch, Journal card, Colour Gold.
Both these great challenges were designed by the very talented Rochelle Spears!

We are enjoying an extra day's holiday this weekend as its Auckland Anniversary Day. Gotta love an extra scrappy day!!

Cheers,
Sue :)

Lo for Stuck!? Sketches and Pixels and Paper

I love the vibrant and fun colours and "Downunder" ( New Zealand and Australia!) feel of this moodboard at Pixels and Paper! Jandals are totally our summer footwear.
I have used the January 15th sketch at Stuck!? Sketches for my starting point.
Beautiful Miss M turned 2 this week! I cannot believe how fast the time is going! Scary!!

Talking of summer, we are melting here up north of Auckland!!! Weeks of clear blue skies! Perfect for school holiday families though.

Cheers,
Sue :)

Wonderful Magical Christmas Moment

The January tic-tac-toe board is up at 123 Get Scrappy!! And check out the current Friday Challenge at Frosted Designs

For my layout, I have used the bottom row of Rhinestones/gems, 3 different patterned papers and a Stamped image. My daughter took this gorgeous pic of the grandkids on Christmas Day.

I was also inspired by the current challenge at Frosted Designs: White as Snow (to use snow, snowflakes or mostly white on the layout). Not much snow in my part of the world, so I went with the mostly white on the layout!
Have a great weekend
Sue :)

Dream Big

I love this little cutie, when he is awake, but there is something extra cute about seeing him asleep!! (Possibly because he is not big on sleeping!!)
I am a real patterned paper girl and seldom use a white cardstock background. Even when I use mixed media, I usually start with a pp. It is lacking a bit of depth I think... Maybe needs more layers...
Anyway, for this layout, I was inspired by the January moodbooard at Off the Rails Scrapbooking:
Latest Mood Palette
I love the colours in that fun photo! It was actually the colour palette that made me want to try the white cardstock background!

Have you checked out this new challenge site! Picture This! Challenge Blog? The challenge this month is to use 1 photo, a sunburst and paint. (the paint is the yellow circles)

I love rosettes so this layout worked well to include in the challenge at 123 Challenge Blog: lemon, paper folding and word, appreciate.

Cheers,
Sue :)

Pretty for SATW and Stuck! Sketches

Scrap Around the World has a beautiful vintage moodboard to start off 2015! I have combined it with Stuck!? Sketches Jan 1st sketch, to do a layout of my newest granddaughter, on Christmas Day, wearing a gorgeous vintage playsuit that Em bought on Etsy.

I was inspired to use a bit of lace, an ornate frame of roses, a tab with little keys and hopefully give an overall vintage feel.

I hope everyone has enjoyed the holiday break and have safe trips home!
Cheers,
Sue :)

You are my Happy for Sketchabilities

My first challenge for 2015! I havent done a layout since November, but I did enjoy doing my second December Daily. It is so cool to go back and see how the Grandbabies have grown over the last year!
Anyway, what better way to get the layout mojo going again than a Sketchabilities sketch!

The sketch:

It is great to be back in blogsville! :)
