I have combined this layout, of a wonderful long weekend in Sydney (from NZ) with family, with The Studio Challenges and the Facebook colour challenge at Funky Flairs. Our 2 granddaughters just loved their first trip on a ferry across Sydney Harbour.
The Studio Challenge Tic Tac Toe board: I used the middle column; Flair, 2 Alphas, Blue
A layout using the August 15th sketch at Stuck?! Sketches. I was in the mood to do something for a change and use some neglected supplies, so got my Minc out and my Ken Oliver Liquid Metallics
and Color Bursts. I have also used a Charm's Creation heart and a Funky Flair.
This gorgeous babe is a bundle of energy, definitely a beautiful wildflower!
I have used the sketch from the August challenge at Show us your Stuff. The handmade embellishment is a Charm's Creation teal and silver sparkle circle.
We had a wonderful weekend in Sydney for our youngest granddaughter's Christening and first birthday.
This layout is for The Studio Challenges - to use stitching and the ARTastic challenge, white with one (pink).
ARTastic inspiration painting: Inspired by the paint threads and softness of the colour interaction.
The Scrap the Boys challenge this month is to use a large photo. I have been wanting to try a large photo for a while, so was really pleased to see this challenge. Thanks, girls! I think I will be doing it more often!
My layout for the July 1st challenge at Stuck?! Sketches. Miss R had her grumpiest look on all the way to daycare in the first week when she realised they weren't going to the park. She wouldn't smile or even look at Mum! How to make a mother feel guilty!! By week 3 she was smiling and eager to go most days.
Miss H is loving her spaghetti bolognese. Unfortunately for Mum, is wasn't all going in her mouth! This layout is for the June 1st challenge at Stuck?! Sketches. This month I am GD for Charm's Creations.
This month I am excited to be Guest Designer for Charm's Creations, so here is a close-up of 2 beautiful Charm's Creations which you can find here:
Thank you Debbi for the comments on my blog and inspiring me to do a CSI challenge. Somehow the CSI link had disappeared from my list of challenges to check each month.
Any way, here is my layout for Case File No 229.
Case File No 229:
Evidence: plain cardstock, banner, vehicle, arrows, something loopy (the acetate road)
Testimony: Inspo words (Big smiles, Happy)
My take on sketch #306 at Creative Scrappers. Miss H loved the little smash cake her Mum made for her 1st birthday - not that she got to eat more than a taste!! I have used lots of the Wild @ Heart embellishments from Cocoa Vanilla, a chevron and little tab from Charm's Creations, a flair from Funky Flairs and Prima flowers.
A layout for the April challenge at Show Us Your Stuff: A recipe challenge this month, with lots of elements to include! My handmade items are a tab and heart Charm's Creations and a handout balloon which I stitched around. I have use lots of Cocoa Vanilla, Wild At Heart goodies, an older Prima stencil, and a Stampin' Up stamp and die, Lift Me Up.
Pop loves getting out in the garden with the Grandkids, collecting fruit and veggies or picking flowers. His little helper today, is Blakey, collecting feijoas to take home for Mum and Dad...If they don't all get eaten first!
This layout is for the April challenge at Scrap the Boys.
I loved the painting inspiration, Carousel Delight by Karen Pierce at ARTastic this month, with the criteria to use butterflies.
I used Annelie's Facebook scraplift challenge at Paper Issues, as the sketch to start the layout.
Our granddaughter told us that she was a fairy in the garden. We couldn't think of a more beautiful fairy!!
The beautiful, colourful painting; Carousel Delight by Karen Pierce.
I was inspired by the all the beautiful colours, flowers and butterflies!
